What is Indivisible South Bay?
Indivisible South Bay, a chapter of the Indivisible movement based in Silicon Valley, California, calls upon our local Members of Congress (MoCs) to oppose and reverse anti-democratic and anti-environmental activities and legislation from the White House and Congress. We also seek to promote positive progressive changes throughout our society, through a broad spectrum of activities.
Our Issue Committees target topics from the Trump/Russia investigation to protecting the EPA. We have members from Districts 17, 18 and 19 so we interact with Congresspersons Ro Khanna, Anna Eshoo, and Zoe Lofgren, and Senators Kamala Harris and Dianne Feinstein.
We meet once a month on the second Sunday in Sunnyvale.
What is Indivisible?
Indivisible is a nationwide political movement, over 6,000 chapters strong, that began in December 2016 with an online document, the Indivisible Guide. Written by three former Congressional staffers, the Guide lays out a strategy of influencing one's own MoCs to address issues important to the survival of our democratic and planet-protecting institutions
One key aspect of the Indivisible Guide methodology is to target representatives on a very local scale so that we, as a whole, have a greater impact nationally.
